Generative NFT collection design for the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal
The Problem
Create a generative NFT collection to raise funds for the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal — the visual language had to communicate solidarity and hope respectfully, without leaning on distressing imagery, while still working as a coherent system capable of producing many unique artworks.
The Approach
I centred the collection on the peace symbol, using flowers as the variable element to represent life and resilience, balancing emotional resonance with restraint through controlled colour and careful composition. A stylised 3D peace sign became the consistent base asset, with geometry designed to accept procedural variation cleanly; in Blender I built a system that varied flower species, scale and colour while preserving the legibility of the central form, keeping randomness meaningful rather than noisy. Camera, lighting and material settings were standardised across the collection for a unified presentation.
Outcome
A visually cohesive charitable collection, each artwork exported with structured metadata and prepared for minting — generative production used in service of a clear, sensitive message rather than novelty for its own sake.
