Stylised 3D character design for a musician-inspired series

The Problem
Create a scalable series of stylised 3D characters based on real musicians — each one needed to be individually recognisable while sharing one consistent, collectible aesthetic, with a pipeline efficient enough to keep growing the roster.
The Approach
I researched each musician's defining visual cues — silhouette, styling, instruments, performance identity — and translated them into a shared, exaggerated shape language, using moodboards and proportion studies to decide what had to stay accurate versus what could simplify. Each character was sculpted around a strong, readable silhouette before secondary details were added, built within a consistent topology and material framework with shared libraries and naming conventions to keep production organised. Reusable shaders, lighting rigs and camera setups kept the final imagery consistent across the whole set.
Outcome
A finished character set that balances individual likeness with unified art direction, backed by a documented, repeatable pipeline ready for future characters.
