App and brand design for a children's movement-based learning platform

The Problem
One product, two completely different users with opposite needs: children who need to act instantly with almost no reading, and parents who need to trust the product enough to hand their kid a screen. Most children's apps solve for one audience and bolt the other on.
The Approach
I designed two distinct flows inside one architecture rather than one compromise flow. Child-facing screens used large targets, minimal text and immediate feedback loops so a young child could use it independently. Parent-facing areas — profiles, progress, settings, safety controls — were built with the density and clarity an adult expects, sitting one layer back from the play experience so neither audience got in the other's way. The brand identity (colour, geometry, character illustration) was built as a flexible system spanning both worlds — playful enough for onboarding and rewards, calm enough for parent-facing screens.
Outcome
A component system — buttons, cards, reward states, progress indicators — built for legibility and age-appropriate motor control, handed off with interaction notes and accessibility considerations so the dual-audience logic survived implementation intact.
